This sculptural piece stretches into a tapering, arched form, its curving arms suggesting a wind-bent branch or root system pulled from a riverbank. David Gappa works the smoked glass body in deep ambers, bronze, and shifting petrol-teal, with fine trailed lines suggesting bark or grain. Cradled where the branches meet sits a separately blown white vessel — thickly cased and acid-etched to a soft, frosted opacity — its interior swirling like carved alabaster. A sculptural centerpiece that blurs the line between vessel and art object, showcasing Gappa’s range beyond traditional vase and bowl forms. This piece is approximately 20” long x 8” wide.
