THE DESIGN
Vetro founder David Gappa designed this one-of-a-kind dining table for a private residence. Gappa’s vision was to capture a small framework of pure color and light thereby drawing the viewer into an ethereal landscape he calls ELYSIUM.
THE ART
Various hues of blues, greens and hyacinths were handblown by Gappa and his team into rondels of multiple sizes and shapes. The rondels are floating on a bed of crushed glass, backlit by a sheet of pure LED lighting. The frame of the table is brushed stainless steel. ELYSIUM is 8 feet long x 4 feet wide. Commissioned for a private residence.
