Vetro is excited to showcase Lindsey Barker’s glass artwork to all of our gallery visitors here in Grapevine Texas!
A bit more about this awesome glass artist:
Lindsey Barker was born in South Bend, Indiana and relocated to Texas in 2001. Lindsey is a Photographer and Glass Artist; she graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BA in Photography and Fine Art glass, as well as, a minor in Business Marketing. Lindsey joined Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Fine Art Gallery as the Gallery Manager in 2015. In 2018 Lindsey became the Public Relation Marketing Manager. Lindsey’s current body of works represents her exploration of new colors, surfaces, heat, form, imagery and patterns. Lindsey’s pieces express her interest in both glass and photography focusing on her continuing battle with the internal body. Her work has been defined as: “Fearless, Intensified, Emotional, and Storytelling”. For the past five years Lindsey has been flourishing while working as a wedding, concert, portrait, and landscape photographer along with exploring kiln formed glass at her private studio. Lindsey’s goal is to combine all her creative outlets to fuel her continued fight to remain healthy. In this way she will continue to tell her story.
Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery, 701 South Main Street, also located at the train depot, surrounds you with a cascade of color in vibrant glass sculptures and delightful light filled objects. The Vetro gallery houses many fine glass artists’ work, glass jewelry, and over fifty consignment artists. The performance of the glass blowers choreographing their skills in front of the glowing glass creations is always a source of entertainment.
