SPOTLIGHT ON THE GLASS GUILLOTINE
Ever been to a Glass on the Tracks event? Then you know the Legend of the Glass Guillotine. The most popular event of the evening is always the Truth or Consequences auction when the Glass Guillotine comes to life. Rest assured, you never get over the shock of what happens to fine art glass that doesn’t make the secret reserve price. Prepare to get loud when you hold up your auction card and help prevent the Glass Guillotine from taking its next victim.
SPOTLIGHT ON GOT XIII CELEBRITY CO-HOST MIKE SNYDER
After 30 years with NBC-Television including 19 years of co-anchoring DFW’s NBC-5 evening news, Mike Snyder is an internationally-acclaimed television journalist and expert in strategic communications. He is now co-founder of Ropewalkers, LLC, an exclusive boutique consulting firm that monetizes content, distribution and technology using unique communications and digital marketing methods.
SPOTLIGHT ON GOT XIII CELEBRITY CO-HOST DAVID YATES
David Yates is a 30-year broadcasting veteran and a 20-year homebuilding and real estate professional. A former radio station owner, he hosted radio and television shows in three of the six largest U.S. markets. He is now co-founder of Ropewalkers, LLC, an exclusive boutique consulting firm that monetizes content, distribution and technology using unique communications and digital marketing methods.
SPOTLIGHT ON GRAHAM WILKINSON
The depth of Graham Wilkinson’s influences and breadth of his worldly experiences, are unmistakable in his diverse collection of heart thumping tunes. From ska to folk, honky-tonk to rock, his lyrics tackle such lofty and often neglected topics as social responsibility and justice, political corruption and greed while consoling the audience with pithy love songs to pure ‘feel good’ rhythms and melodies.
SPOTLIGHT ON Greg Schaatt - PYROTECHNICIAN
For nearly two decades, Greg Schaatt has specialized in stage pyrotechnics and flame effects. He has enhanced corporate meetings, sporting events, stunt shows and live concerts for clients such as the San Antonio Spurs, the Houston Astros, Guns’n Roses, Shinedown, Disturbed and Three Days Grace. He has shot flame production shows in over twenty countries world-wide. Vetro is so very fortunate to have a flame artisan of this caliber on our team! We can’t wait to see what he blows up this year!!!
SPOTLIGHT ON EASL – EMERGENCY ARTISTS’ SUPPORT LEAGUE
Visual artists often live within narrow financial constraints, even in the best of times. A medical crisis, fire, or other emergency can result in catastrophe. In response, artists and arts professionals joined together to found EASL in 1992. EASL is operated by a volunteer committee, allowing for maximum funds to be distributed to individuals in need. In addition to awarding monetary grants, EASL can offer referrals to a variety of professionals, from social workers to attorneys, who volunteer their time and expertise to help artists in other ways. Though visible when it is raising money, EASL abides by a strict policy of confidentiality regarding disbursement of funds, thereby protecting artists’ anonymity and dignity.
